​​​​ As part of an educational restructure in the local area in 2022, we have welcomed over 350 new students and over 35 staff into our community and are now a secondary school of nearly 850 learners across Years 7-13. 

We are looking to expand our team with talented individuals who are passionate about learning and relish the opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful areas of South West England. 

As we continue to increase in student numbers and settle into our new school for 2023, we are now seeking more colleagues to join our exciting journey and help us gain the capacity to continue delivering teaching and learning to the highest levels. Teacher Second in English - Full Time MPS/UPS + TLR 2B

Second in English

Full Time – Permanent Contract

Salary Scale: MPS/UPS + TLR 2B (£30,000-£46,525 + £5,348)

Starting September 2024

We are seeking a passionate, energetic and ambitious Second in English to join our expanding team due to an increased focus on English within the timetable and wider curriculum. As part of an educational restructure in the local area in 2022, we have welcomed over 300 new students and over 30 staff into our community and are now a secondary school of nearly 850 learners across Years 7-13.  As we embed the fantastic changes that have enabled our learners to be successful, we are seeking more colleagues to become part of our journey and help us to deliver teaching and learning to the highest levels.

 We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to: 

  • To be an exceptional teacher of English.
  • Develop and demonstrate high-quality leadership skills.
  • Act as a lead practitioner and model of excellent teaching in all aspects of the role.
  • To help ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum area.
  • To work alongside the Head of English and team and begin leading areas as directed, such as taking on responsibilities for supervising the KS3 curriculum.

 You are likely to be someone who: 

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has a degree or equivalent.
  • Is flexible, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise workload.
  • Has a track-record of exceptional classroom teaching with an understanding of effective pedagogy.
  • Can demonstrate a commitment to and knowledge/experience of effective strategies to maintain and raise attainment, in particular to address the differing needs which exist in the mixed ability classroom, which include second language learners.
  • Has experience of improving outcomes for students with SEND or disadvantage.
  • Has a commitment to the aims and values of comprehensive education, the school’s vision and ethos, as well as the implementation of equal opportunities policy and practice.

CLEANER - 10 hours per week Term Time

CLEANER

Permanent position of 10 hours per week - 2 hours per day

Term Time plus Inset (39 weeks per year)

Either 6.30 -8.30AM or 3.30 to 5.30PM Shifts available (option to choose both)

Grade 16 PT 2.0 Actual Salary £5,174 per annum

We are seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious individual to join our busy school cleaning team. You will need to have a great attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate and work well within a team. There is always the possibility of covering extra hours due to staff absences, so some flexibility would be appreciated. There is an option to choose both AM and PM shifts.

This post offers fulfilment in knowing that the work you do makes a positive difference in supporting the school and staff and offers the opportunity to join a well-established and friendly team of professional cleaners.

Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the Cleaning Team
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner with minimal supervision
  • Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with unexpected issues when they arise and being able to problem solve effectively
  • The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a good practical aptitude, and be able to carry out routine cleaning in all areas of the school
  • This post can be physically demanding and candidates need to be able to carry out the duties effectively and thoroughly
