As part of an educational restructure in the local area in 2022, we have welcomed over 350 new students and over 35 staff into our community and are now a secondary school of nearly 850 learners across Years 7-13. 

We are looking to expand our team with talented individuals who are passionate about learning and relish the opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful areas of South West England. 

As we continue to increase in student numbers and settle into our new school for 2023, we are now seeking more colleagues to join our exciting journey and help us gain the capacity to continue delivering teaching and learning to the highest levels. Term Time */Permanent contract - 2 hours per day

We are seeking passionate team members to join us, taking pride in carrying out cleaning and hygiene tasks to ensure the quality of cleanliness on our school site.

Working an afternoon shift from 3.30 PM to 5.30 PM (*Additionally working one week of summer holidays and 5 INSET days throughout the year).

You are likely to be someone who is:

  • Detail-Oriented: Paying attention to the small details that make a big difference and taking pride in what you do.
  • Reliable: Can be counted on to be punctual and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Team Player: Working well with others and contributing positively to the school community.
  • Self-Motivated: Can take initiative and is capable of working independently.
  • Trained: Has COSHH training or is willing to train

Administration & Finance Assistant - 37 Hours

Administration & Finance Assistant

37 Hours per week – Term Time Only (plus INSET days)

Salary Scale: Grade 14.4 to 14.6 (£19,792 - £20,459)

We are seeking a highly experienced and conscientious full time School Administrator & Finance Assistant to join our team. This variable and exciting role provides a range of administration and finance support, working from 8.00 AM to 4.00 PM (3.30PM on Fridays) term time and INSET days.

 We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to: 

  • Demonstrate their skills and previous experiences in providing efficient and meticulous administrative support to the school, using Microsoft packages, Inventry and Arbor systems.
  • Support the Finance Team and Administration Teams with an accurate and methodical approach in areas such as School Shop sales, Invoicing and purchase orders, booking school transport and creating the school newsletter.
  • Be adaptable and approachable with a positive attitude, being willing to ‘step in and help’ where required to ensure the consistent operation of the school.
  • Provide First Aid duties and support the team in ensuring the safety of our students and staff.

You are likely to be someone who: 

  • Has proven experience working in a school or similar setting with young people.
  • Has excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, with tact and diplomacy that helps to promote good relationships within and outside the school.
  • Is flexible, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively as well as being a team player who enjoys working within a busy team.
  • Is organised, efficient and confident in their work and abilities.
  • Has a commitment to the aims and values of comprehensive education, the school’s vision and ethos.

Design & Technology Technician - 37 Hours 

Design & Technology Technician

37 Hours per week – Term Time Only (plus INSET days)

We are seeking a supportive, passionate and enthusiastic Technician to join our Design & Technology Team, which teaches practical and classroom-based subjects ranging from Food Preparation and Nutrition, Graphics, Textiles, Product Design and working with Resistant Materials.

 We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to: 

  • Apply their practical and communications skills to support students in the classroom.
  • Supervise the safe use of tools and machinery by promoting Health & Safety legislation.
  • Complete a highly valuable role in preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons to support the D & T Departments.
  • Demonstrate an artistic flair in design and food subjects where imagination and creativity can embellish the students learning experiences.

You are likely to be someone who: 

  • Has experience working in a school or similar setting with young people.
  • Is excited to show your imagination and creativity in Design & Technology, which would inspire our students in their own creative skills and gain confidence in using different materials to their best abilities.
  • Can problem solve and ‘think on your feet’ to provide practical solutions.
  • Is flexible, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively as well as being a team player who communicates effectively.
  • Is organised, efficient and confident in their work and abilities.
