As part of an educational restructure in the local area in 2022, we have welcomed over 350 new students and over 35 staff into our community and are now a secondary school of nearly 850 learners across Years 7-13.
We are looking to expand our team with talented individuals who are passionate about learning and relish the opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful areas of South West England.

Exam Invigilator - Casual part- time hours
Exam Invigilator
Casual contract/flexible hours
Salary Scale: Grade 15. (pt.4)
Actual Salary: £13.42 per hour (Including holiday allowance)

We have vacancies for Exam Invigilators to join our team of casual staff, who are available to work on a flexible basis throughout the school year. Our Invigilators conduct examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body and Wadham School regulations and instructions. Experience is not essential as training will be given.
Hours are by negotiation and agreement during November, January, March, May and June for external exams and November, February, June and July for internal exams.
We are looking for outstanding individuals who will relish the opportunity to:
- Ensure all candidates have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities
- Complete training in the role and duties in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and Safeguarding (KCSIE2023)
- Help set up exam rooms, according to requirements
- Ensure the security of the examination materials before, during and after the examination
- Prevent possible candidate malpractice and be able to instruct candidates during the exams
- Prevent possible administrative failures by being efficient and vigilant
- Act as a reader and/or scribe for students with exam concessions
You are likely to be someone who:
- Is reliable, flexible and readily available during main examination periods
- Can offer effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills
- Works well as part of a team
- Is confident and a reassuring presence to candidates in examination rooms
- Is confident to give instructions and manage situations involving different groups of people
- Can offer basic IT skills (Microsoft package, TEAMS and Outlook)
- Can seek to achieve competence in the role and develop a rigorous understanding of the JCQ regulations

We are seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious individual to join our busy school cleaning team. You will need to have a great attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate and work well within a team. There is always the possibility of covering extra hours due to staff absences, so some flexibility would be appreciated.
This post offers fulfilment in knowing that the work you do makes a positive difference in supporting the school and staff and offers the opportunity to join a well-established team of professional cleaners.
Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:
- Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the Cleaning Team

- Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with unexpected issues when they arise and being able to problem-solve effectively

Learning Support Assistant - Starting ASAP and September 2023
LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
30 hours per week, term time plus INSET
8.30AM – 3.00PM (with attendance at departmental meeting on Mondays after school until 4.15PM
Grade 15 Pt 3-4- Actual Salary £15,786 - £16,047

We seek an energetic, positive individual, who values young people and their learning to contribute to an already highly skilled and successful team. The role involves supporting students individually, in class and in small groups across a variety of subjects.
Experience of supporting people with medical conditions and social and emotional and mental health needs would be advantageous. Working knowledge of ICT, such as e-mail, computerised diary/calendar, word, excel and Microsoft TEAMS would be an advantage.
