As part of an educational restructure in the local area in 2022, we have welcomed over 350 new students and over 35 staff into our community and are now a secondary school of nearly 850 learners across Years 7-13. 

We are looking to expand our team with talented individuals who are passionate about learning and relish the opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful areas of South West England. 

As we continue to increase in student numbers and settle into our new school for 2023, we are now seeking more colleagues to join our exciting journey and help us gain the capacity to continue delivering teaching and learning to the highest levels. We are seeking a passionate, energetic and ambitious Head of Mathematics to join us following the successful promotion of the existing postholder to the Senior Leadership Team.   

As part of an educational restructure in the local area in 2022, we have welcomed over 300 new students and over 30 staff into our community and are now a secondary school of 800 learners across Years 7-13.  

As we continue to increase in numbers, we are seeking exceptional, like-minded colleagues to become part of our family in delivering teaching and learning and personal development of the highest quality.   

 We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:   

  • Be an exceptional teacher of Mathematics.
  • Provide exceptional high-quality leadership and act as a lead practitioner in all aspects of the role.  
  • Ensure the best use of allocated INSET and curriculum area time to improve teaching and learning by linking it with the strategic needs of the school.  
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum areas.  
  • Ensure robust and effective assessment across the curriculum areas informs students how to make further progress in their learning, enabling improved student outcomes.

  • Take an active part in parenting-based classes to help empower parents who may struggle to create boundaries and opportunities for their children to gain the best outcomes from education through targeted interventions.
  • Create a cohesive multi-agency approach to supporting vulnerable students and their families.

CLEANER

We are seeking enthusiastic, conscientious individuals who have great attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate and work well within a busy team.  

The early mornings and early evenings offer you the ability to work around your family and has the additional benefit of school holidays with just 40 working weeks per year. It also offers the opportunity to join a well-established team of professional school cleaners and help make a difference in keeping our school clean and tidy.

**There is availability for either the morning, afternoon or both shifts**

Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the Cleaning Team
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner with minimal supervision
  • Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with unexpected issues when they arise and being able to problem solve effectively
  • The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a good practical aptitude, being able to carry out routine cleaning in all areas of the school including toilets and sports halls.
  • This post can be physically demanding where candidates need to be able to carry out the duties effectively and thoroughly, as part of a team.
