As part of an educational restructure in the local area in 2022, we have welcomed over 350 new students and over 35 staff into our community and are now a secondary school of nearly 800 learners across Years 7-11. 

We are looking to expand our team with talented individuals who are passionate about learning and relish the opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful areas of South West England. 

As we continue to increase in student numbers and settle into our new school for 2023, we are now seeking more colleagues to join our exciting journey and help us gain the capacity to continue delivering teaching and learning to the highest levels. Cover Supervisor - Starting ASAP

Cover Supervisor

30 hours per week, term time plus INSET Days (2)

Working from 8.20AM to 3.00PM

Full time salary: £17,767 to £19,239 (Grade 13 pt. 6 - 11)

Required to start: As soon as possible

We seek an energetic and positive individual who will deliver lessons and manage classrooms when staff are absent.

Your excellent communication and organisational skills will enable work to be delivered confidently and calmly, and you will also resolve immediate problems or emergencies in the classroom (in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures) so should be adaptable and able to multi-task effectively. The Cover Supervisor will also give direction to the Learning Support Assistant within the classroom and be a reliable team member.

When not required for covering lessons, you will support in other areas of the school, such as the Pastoral Hub, undertaking a range of administrative tasks.

We are looking for outstanding individuals who will relish the opportunity to:

  • Work within a team and be reliable and supportive
  • Demonstrate a calm and confident manner in the classroom
  • Give clear instruction to students whilst showing an understanding of their range of needs with an understanding of SEND provisions
  • Relish the opportunity to continue enhancing their own CPD through ongoing training

You are likely to be someone who:

  • Can demonstrate good knowledge of ICT programmes such as Microsoft TEAMS, Arbor and Outlook
  • Can be flexible and adapt to the needs of the school on a daily basis
  • Enjoys working with young people and can demonstrate an understanding of their needs and requirements

Cleaner 10 Hours per week - Starting ASAP

CLEANER  

Permanent position of 10 hours per week 

Working from 3.30PM and 5.30PM (Monday – Friday)

 Term Time plus INSET days including one working week of the school holidays (40 weeks)

Grade 16 PT 2.0 Actual Salary £5793.00 per annum

We are seeking enthusiastic, conscientious individuals who have great attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate and work well within a busy and effective team.  This post offers fulfilment in knowing that the work you do makes a positive difference in supporting the schools’ pupils and staff and offers the opportunity to join a well-established team of professional school cleaners.  

Working two hours per day during term time and INSET days plus one week’s holiday deep- cleaning as arranged with the Site and Resources Manager, this post offers a permanent post with in-house training for all mandatory courses, such as Safeguarding, KCSIE and COSHH. 

  Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:  

  • Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the Cleaning Team  
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner with minimal supervision  
  • Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with unexpected issues when they arise and being able to problem solve effectively  
  • The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a good practical aptitude, being able to carry out routine cleaning in all areas of the school including toilets and sports halls. Experience is desirable but training will be provided for the ideal candidate
  • This post can be physically demanding at times and  candidates would need to be able to carry out their duties effectively and thoroughly, with use of equipment and machinery as required
