Wadham School Achieves 100% A Level Pass Rate
Wadham School celebrate a 100% A-Level pass rate this week. Overall, 55% of grades were A*-C and 34% A*-B.
Students opting for applied subjects such as Business and Health & Social Care really shined too with Distinction being the average grade.
Head Teacher, Matthew Gardner commented, “these excellent results are a real tribute to the application and determination of our students and the skill of the teaching team; a reflection of the nurturing, supportive environment here at Wadham which encourages collaboration between students to achieve their best.”
Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Brown said, “We are immensely proud of the results our students have achieved this year. Their hard work and commitment has paid off with this fantastic set of results. To name a few examples of our students successes:
Sophie Feilder gained A*AAAA in Biology, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and the Extended Project Qualification. She is going to study Medicine at Imperial College.
Chris Bagwell gained AAB in Mathematics, Computer Science and English Literature. He has gained a place at Cardiff University where he will be studying English Literature and Creative Writing.
Leah Russell gained AB Distinction* in English Language, Psychology and Applied Business Studies. Leah has chosen to take a course in Accountancy locally, where she hopes to then gain a trainee accountant role.
We also have students choosing to take highly sought after local degree level apprenticeships.
These results also come having been inspected by Ofsted in July where it is reported that Wadham Sixth Form is 'Good' and offers 'good support' to students in this phase of their education.
Well done Year 13 - Class of 2019!
